Thanksgiving...i think yes!

I just got back from Thanksgiving break last night, and I had one of the best! It started off by putting up decorations with mom, and it ended in watching christmas movies with the rents. Oh yes. :) I spent lots of time hanging out with Pete...and I'd have to say, I like the kid. We went to Harry Potter, in which Cali so kindly provided tickets for, went black friday shopping, played pokemon, and had a fantastic time! I enjoy being home so much! It's just the scent, combined with the family and the good food that I have a hard time resisting. Only 2 more weeks and 3 days till I get to stay there for good!! Until next Fall semester of course when I move out again. I have enjoyed being in Logan though. I have to admit, I love being with my roommates! They are all so cute and fun, and that will be one thing I'll be missing when I'm out. Our late night card games, our lounging around drinking hot chocolate and watching movies all day one after the other, our unfocused study sessions...it'll be a sad departure :( A bittersweet one at that.
I decided I'm going to start up a thing called the thought of the day, where I'm going to write what's mostly been on my mind recently. Today I'll start off by saying I've thought alot lately about really how hard it is to be yourself sometimes when you're around people who may be outspoken, or intimidating. I've realized how easy it is to be that outsider who doesn't want to put in the effort to think of a conversation starter so instead just sits in the background and says nothing at all. But once you come to realize the fun and joy you can have just by getting to know someones personality and by putting yourself out there a little bit, it's so not worth just sitting back in the silence. This week so far has been so fun! And it's only because I've not been focused on myself so much, but on getting to know others a little more. When you find yourself feeling a little sheepish around someone more outspoken, all you really need to do is be interested in them, and they won't have a problem with talking to you. Cause hey, everyone likes to talk about themselves. ;) It's easier then you might think! Alright, well that concludes today's thought..until next time, peace.

Weekend fun

I've decided I might come to enjoy this blogging thing..if I actually start writing in it regularly...but anyways Yesterday was quite a boring day up in Logan. I woke up, went to class, got home, and had pretty much nothing to do all day. So me and my friend/roommate Celsie, decided to stop by Hobby Lobby in search for a new hobby. Indeed, on our extravagant quest we did find one! I am now making embroidery an official skill/hobby that I can now say I'm interested in :) So last night for my creative arts class, it was required to go to the Martha Graham dance company performance. I went with Jocelyn and Linsey, the two twins that live in my apartment building. Half way through we found ourselves getting headaches and squirming trying not to go crazy because the performance was the weirdest, most retarded thing in the world, so we decided to leave at intermission. But don't tell anyone...pretty sure that's against the rules. Anyways, when we got home, I went straight up to my room and sat for three hours embroidering! That's right, I'm staying true to my skills :D  Cindy (my chinese roommate) came in and sat next to me and chatted with me for awhile while we watched a movie and ate popcorn. She's the sweetest, cutest little girl. I woke up in the middle of the night last night coughing and moved into the TV room so I wouldn't wake Cels up, and when I woke up I found a nice little note next to me that said "Hi Dani, Don't sleep on the sofa all night like that again, you may catch cold! :( take care of yourself and when you wake up, try to go BED and have a truly sweety dream <3. Cindy"  haha she's so so cute. Today I'm not quite sure what's in store for us, except for the Utah State basketball game later on tonight that I heard are way stinkin fun. We want to dress up as men and not put any makeup on and wear hats and baggy clothes. Don't ask me why....I guess we have nothing to lose so why not right? Alright, well until next time...audios!!

hmm...sure

I don't really know what's going on...I was just really bored and thought I'd do something unproductive like make a blog. I guess it's better than sitting on facebook right? So I guess we'll see if this works. If not i'm going to feel really embarrassed..ahem. Goodbye.
